Hey! Bighead!
Hitchcoc22 March 2023
Another treasure. George comes floating into Jerry's place all braggy about getting a new apartment. Everyone is jealous which is what he wants, but when he goes to move in it has been given by some guy who survived the sinking of the Andrea Doria. So George begins to manipulate his way, trying to undermine the old guy. Elaine is going out with a guy who, when he breaks up with a woman, says nasty things and they later assault him. He tells Elaine she has a big head and that becomes an on-going joke. Newman has a chance to be picked to deliver mail in Hawaii but he is so behind that his supervisor needs evidence of his work. Jerry is able to help out because he wants Newman out of his life. George tries one final coup to get the apartment but we know how George's plans go.

Newman and Jerry
safenoe26 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Wayne Knight returns as Newman, who enters into a pact with Jerry to fulfill Newman's ambition to be transferred to Hawaii. But it turns out Jerry is an incredibly efficient postman (or letter carrier), more efficient than Newman, and this sunk Newman's career ambitions.

Anyway, four years before this episode debuted, Wayne Knight starred alongside Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, with a supporting role by Michael Douglas, and Knight's star shot up for sure. Anyway, I was thinking, upon reflection, whether there should have been a spin-off series for Newman, like Frasier, but not to be init I guess.

I like the bit where Jerry helps Newman get a transfer because he doesn't like him

Jerry & Newman's Pact
Samuel-Shovel12 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In "The Andrea Doria", George thinks he's getting a prime new apartment in his building; but he's ousted from it from a survivor of the Andrea Doria accident. Elaine dates a guy whose exes he sees in public physically assault him post-breakup, causing Elaine to be more into him. But when they break up, he accuses her of having a big head. Kramer gets a bad cough but refuses to get medical treatment, instead going to a veterinarian and taking dog pills. Jerry helps Newman deliver mail in the hopes that it will get Newman promoted to a mail route in Hawaii.

It's sometimes odd what the writers decide to name these episodes. I think the Andrea Doria subplot is the most boring and forgettable of the episode. The real star here is Newman and Jerry forming a mutually beneficial pact. It's a fairly decent storyline. The rest however are more mediocre. Elaine's is fine but I think this is one of the worst Kramer storylines of recent memory. The ending with the Lassie spoof is painful to watch. They pound the analogy on the viewers' head just a bit too hard for my liking.
