Another host dominated show but in this case Peter Cook dominates the proceedings very well with Dudley Moore in a helping role. For folks who like these 2 British folks, this is a must see episode.

It is strange to me, looking back on it after so many years that the humor in this one seems simpler, in a more simple time. It is still interesting in all these shows that the Democrats basically ignore any fairness doctrine (which was law then) & take total pot shots at all the Republicans. Of course SNL has never been a fair & balanced presentation but these classic shows prove why the fairness doctrine should never be brought back. It seems that it is only fairness if your a Pro-Democrat.

The pot shots taken in this Week-end Update by Chevy Chase are really a reason to check out even the weaker episodes in season 1, though this one is quite strong indeed.
