Marriage is no joke
dtucker869 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ah the foolishness and impulsiveness of young love! In this episode we are introduced to Charlie and Abbie two students in love who like most young people think with their hearts instead of their heads. They are no more prepared for the real world then the man on the moon. They come to Pete and Liz for advice about their plans to marry at the end of the semester and at first Pete and Liz are as helpful as a screen door on a submarine because they two knuckleheads decide to get married in a week. Their equally dim friends throw them bachelor parties with silly gifts the order of the day. Pete and Liz finally rise to the occasion and give these two the "real deal" about life and how dim they are being thank Goodness they listen.

Charlie and Abbie are two students who want to get married.

A pretty good episode. The sweethearts are played by Brad David and Kathleen Lloyd. They want Pete and Liz to be best man and maid of honor, but they say no since the parents are not giving permission. There is a bachelor party for Charlie at a taco place with Richie's band performing, Richie and Bernie do some comedy routines. Liz has to have Abbie's wedding shower at her place, Cindy Williams is one of Abbie's friends. There is a sequel to this episode in Season 2.
