Reasonably good episode

The crew discover a ship with a device that re-sequences DNA.

I mostly enjoyed this episode as It has a pretty strong sci-fi concept and some decent focus on genetic enhancement, but the comedy banter for me isn't as strong as some of the earlier entries.

The notion of Kryten becoming human is a good idea for getting the characters debating genetics, but for me the humour throughout this one is hit and miss. The performances of the cast are way funnier than the lines they say which is a credit to all of them. I say this with full appreciation that others may feel different given how varied the affects of comedy on each person.

My favourite parts involve Kryten's polaroids, Lister's confession about almost selling out his working class roots and some of the scenes with the vindaloo monster.

For me it's a 6.5/10, but i'm a nice bloke and decided to round upwards.

The concept is so simple, yet the episode is so very great. "What if Kryten became human?" That concept to us mortals could be made to do a few interesting things but those Grant-Naylor chaps really worked their magic with this concept and made it into one of my favourite episodes for sure!
