  Gil Favor : Only this time it's a bit more sudden than usual, isn't it?

• Gil Favor : Supposing one of them doesn't care what happens to me. What's to keep him from going for help?

  Blake : I'll tell you why they wink. Most any man would kill in a fight. If he was liquored up, or over a woman. But not one of them would kill in cold blood. That's where I got the edge. I would. And they know I would.

  Gil Favor : I guess you would at that.

  Blake : Keep remembering it and we'll get on fine.
