Annoying but still great

Episode 512 "There's only so far you can bend before you break." ~Michael

I have to say that this episode truly annoyed me. It wasn't that it was bad or anything, but some aspects seemed to be thrown out of nowhere just for the sake of the show ending. Where did Tad come from, and why does Justin's artwork all of a sudden come back into the picture? I suppose the show makes many things emerge without explanations, but I just don't think enough happened in this episode. I just know that there is absolutely no way the finale is going to tie up all the loose ends and leave me satisfied. I loved every Brian and Justin scene, and it was amazing to see them back together again. I also loved the subtle use of quotes from the first couple of scenes, and the relationship with Emmett and Drew is most interesting. Justin dancing with his mother was cute and felt much-needed. I just can't seem to recall Justin spending much time with his mother since season one. I highly doubt Brian's parents or Justin's father will be brought up again in the finale, but I really wish that they would be. I'd prefer all loose ends to be tied up. Despite annoying me, this episode wasn't really bad by any means. I loved the Brian/Justin sex at the beginning of the episode, and Emmett and Drew's final moments almost bring tears to your eyes.

Warning: Spoilers
It is usually hard to watch the final episodes of a show that you like with characters that grew on you. This is the case for me now as well. Everything is just going to end and to bring everyone's story to a more or less satisfying finale.

I loved the reactions of everyone to Justin and Brian's wedding invitation, absolutely hilarious! Ted's spitting water out of his mouth made me almost spit my juice as well.

Michael finding out that Brian was at the hospital was great, and them reconciling was a beautiful scene.

The whose story with Tad wasn't so great. It is too close to the end for me to actually care about the character or care much about the relationship's future since I didn't see it develop and the chemistry grow. It feels like they just didn't know what to do with Ted at the end and came up with this mediocre closure.

I am glad Justin to think over the situation with Gus. I find it very sad that the kids will be taken away from the fathers. And when in one of the scenes it was said that Mel and Lindsay are parents, not Brian and Michael it made me feel very upset since this isn't true. Michael was a great parent and to be honest I didn't notice until today that Brian didn't play a role in Gus's life since he was always there when it came to important events in his life. I am glad Lindsay was so level headed when Brian said he doesn't approve of them leaving, Mel acted as if they owed them this approval.

Too bad for Emmett that it isn't working out with Drew. I am not sure I like how it went either, since when is it such a necessity to be promiscuous in the beginning of one's sexual life? Maturity isn't about how many people one slept with before. It is just who Drew is. No need to make it look like a rule or a norm.

And now there is only the finale left....
