A much-needed turn of events... but Justin and Brian need to be together!

Warning: Spoilers
"You look so sexy in your little gown!" ~Michael (to Ben)

This episode was weird. I'm not liking how distanced Justin is becoming from Brian. He's always known that Brian was no romantic, he's known that from the very beginning. Brian is showing Justin love and affection in the only way that he knows possible. I like Ethan, but I still think that Brian is much better-suited for Justin, especially with all that they have been through together. It is quite clear that Brian is in love with Justin, he just has his own unique way of showing it. Not through flowers or picnics, but in different ways. It was saddening what happened with Ben, but it was a much-needed turn of events in the relationship. Overall a great episode.

Episode #2.18

Warning: Spoilers
The story of Emmett and his millions ended up as a disappointment. I really liked the beginning of it, since it was very entertaining, but the ending was bad. I understand that they couldn't have Emmett get the money because it would change the show a lot. But him just simply refusing it even though he knows George would want him to have it was absurd. In my opinion he should have taken it and then maybe invested it in a good cause, like an organization helping gays or something like that.

Ben getting into a hospital was a very good story. It brought so many great emotional moments. The one of Michael and Brian in the hospital hall I liked the most. And also when Debbie came to visit Ben. Very well performed.

I like the twist on the relationship of Brian and Justin. It is great to see Justin starting to have doubts and trying to look for what he wants somewhere else. And Fab Filippo is a great addition to the show.

Cheap shot

Warning: Spoilers
Season 2 turned out to be a lot better than season 1, in general.

Nevertheless, I must say I felt that Emmett & George storyline was a cheap shot. I know this show is TV fiction, I know it isn't real. Still, the show feels believable, most of the time.

Emmett & George story didn't feel like real. I mean, come on, look at this plot :

1. A poor guy is invited to a rich guy's mansion.

2. The rich guy gets to have a great time, thanks to the young one. So far, cliché but okay.

3. They fall in love and go travelling around the globe.

4. The rich guy dies while having sex with the young one in the plane.

5. The poor guy grieves... and receive 10M$

6. The old guy's family sues the young one... for money!? Come on, he probably had much more than 10 millions anyway!!!!

7. The poor guy counterattacks by telling he will spread his love story to the media, an action which could damage the family's business.

8. The family offers 1M$ to keep the poor guy from talking.

9. The poor guy REFUSES the money and, still, does not tell the media about his love story.

10. So... the poor guy is still poor, and is still part of the QAF family. End result : the poor guy hasn't changed much, and the story can continue. CHEAP SHOT, really.

If you give a character something big (like 10M$), it should definitely because you want him to have it, or at least let him some mileage with it. Giving it and taking it back a few shows after feels like a hack screenwriter trick.

Still, this element taken aside, QAF season 2 is a lot better than the first one.
