But they got away with it. I can't say I support Jimmy here. He threw away one client to get another's conviction overturned. I guess Jimmy's clients are only entitled to a "zealous defense" if he isn't trying to get someone else out of prison. Part of me hopes this comes back to bite him, even though I understand why he did it.
Regarding Rebecca's case, I don't really understand why they thought they didn't have a shot. The defense wasn't even arguing the case and just went after the lawyers. The jury was so quick because they saw through it and, aside from that, there was clear evidence of negligence. Had a good laugh at the judge denying the motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict. Nice try.
