Before Mallrats there was "Teens from a Mall"

I'm normally a fan of episodes with lots of twists and subplots, but this episode was a little cheesy. Jerry's attempts to find a job was a little goofy, Mikey's job stresses was a little over the top, and Musso's shopaholic tendencies was tacky. The story of Shelley trying to figure out if Lemmer was a vampire is funny though. That and the mall security hunting Parker because he fits the description of the thief they're searching for has lots of laughs. The story structure isn't all that bad either. Everyone finds his or her self at a low point in the middle of the episode and the end of the episode finds resolution. Perhaps one of the things that turns me off is the things that aren't the norm. Maybe that's why the job stuff with Mikey drives me crazy seeing as Mikey isn't the job type (that and it's never mentioned that he HAS a job). I dunno maybe I'm just picky!

My best high-school TV show (vhs)

I had the same age than Parker when I watched his show. For a french teen living in a old lost french city, this high school was like Paradise: dazzling, colored, modern, clean, always sunny, etc... But beyond, this show was unique because of its original point of view: the friends have the same problems as me but over there, it was over the top, dynamic, silly planning, rock. So this show was interesting because it took universal feelings in a pop shake-up and decided not to use the usual boring drama! At last, for me, it was successful: I remember to buy some eccentric shirts like Parker and I was happy! In a way, this really funny show was an amazing bang to a wonderful decade (80s) and i don't envy the today kids because they can't find something like this! I picked up this episode because it happens in one of my best locations in the world: a mall and Josie is also very cute here and for once, the dream girl pays attention.

Parker and the Mall

Warning: Spoilers
I loved watching Parker Lewis Can't Lose when it debuted in the early 1990s, and I'm very much enjoying re-watching it now thanks to it being available freely. Teens from a Mall is from season one, and interestingly whilst there were some visual gags, there was a strong focus on relationships, which kind of presaged season three, which in my humble opinion, was my favorite series for sure.

Anyway, here Parker finds the woman of his dreams, Sarah, played by Josie Bissett, but it turns out she's a mall cop.

Ryan Stiles makes another uncredited appearance, and by far he's one of the best performers on Whose Line is it Anyway.

During some of the mall scenes, I saw shoppers in the background who seemed to look at the camera, so I'm not sure if they were extras or not.
