Parker is always finding new things to get involved with. His newest scheme is to act as a sports agent to Larry Kubiac. A true challenge is in store as Kubiac proves mentally devoid and risks embarrassment when his intelligence is called into question. The writers are quick to set the foundation of Parker Lewis Can't Lose with such hints as Shelley's quest to destroy her brother along with Grace Musso's tendency to reluctantly use Parker to bust her out of a jam. Another reoccurring theme throughout seasons 1 and two of PLCL is Parker's cunning ability to utilize his skills to outwit others. When Parker's up against the wall he retains his coolness and indeed can't lose.

Parker Lewis and the early years

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big fan of Parker Lewis Can't Lose, and I'm very much enjoying rewatching it now after having first watched it when it debuted back in the 1990s believe it or not, so that's over three decades ago. Anyway, this early episode of Parker Lewis Can't Lose focuses on Larry Kubiac, played by Abraham Benrubi, and we see his parents, although they don't appear in the same scene together. Patrick Thomas O'Brien plays the Dad and Melabie MacQueen plays the Mom.
The ending was pure Parker, and also a self-interest alliance with Frank Lemmer (Taj Johnson). It's a shame Lemmer was dropped in season three.
