Parker is a master of his life now, but what about his future?
vex86bird16 June 2007
In all the episodes of PLCL, Parker is a force to be reckoned with. The problem is that with all the focus Parker has being king of Santo Domingo he hasn't thought about what life will be like after high school. This is a pretty well written episode that a many High School students can relate to. As important as High School seems at the time a lot of people don't stop and really consider the future although it comes pretty fast. I like the fact that the episode isn't fakey and Parker just doesn't 'magically' make a decision to his plans for the future, and everything is happily ever after. To sum up I think this is a good all around episode that helps develop the story of Parker Lewis.

Parker Lewis faces reality
safenoe11 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Vincent Schiavelli, who pretty much stole the movie Ghost as the Subway Ghost in 1990, guest stars as Guy Zapoleon, the School guidance counsellor, and again he pretty much chews the screen and almost steals the episode. In fact, in real life, Vincent was an accomplished chef and wrote three cookbooks. Anyway, back to this episode, Future Shock, it's quite a reality check for Parker Lewis, who is the king of the school halls, but what is in store post-school we wonder. But it's a bit unfair because really, what do kids know what they want to do after finishing school? Don't we all go career changes throughout our lives init.
