In the scene in which Del is talking to Yvonne at the bar, a short sequence was deleted from all videos and DVDs released due to musical copyright reasons. It involves Yvonne singing a few lines from the song "Just the Way You Are" to Del, badly. It ends with Del's line "Stone me, leave it out!" as he is unable to take any more. There is also a similar edit where Del tells Albert that some of his old girlfriends are married, and a couple of them are dead. That line was cut out of the Region 2 DVD release due to the death of David Jason's then partner, Myfanwy Talog, from breast cancer in 1995.
When Mickey Pearce says to Rodney "We're with the birds, see." in The Nag's Head, one of "the birds" appears to be the surly checkout girl from "The Longest Night (1986)".
In the scene where Boycie warns Mickey Pearce to "be aware" in The Nag's Head, one of Mickey's friends playing darts (standing directly between Boycie and Mickey) looks exactly like Dr. Robbie Meadows from "Sickness & Wealth (1989)".
When Albert tells Del and Rodney about the woman he was once in love with he mentions that the little finger on her right hand was missing, to which Del quips "caught her hand in the till did she?" David Jason (Del) also starred in Open All Hours and it's sequel Still Open All Hours, a cornershop comedy which features a till that on many occasions hilariously tries to catch Arkwright's and Granville's fingers in it every time they use it
Del and Boycie are playing poker in the Nag's Head in the opening scene. But the two are well aware (particularly from "A Losing Streak (1982)") that they are both notorious card cheaters, Boycie even wondering out Lous where Del is "pulling them from". This would make the whole pastime rather futile.
