I'm So Tired of Shelly

First of all, I'll admit that I have trouble with the idea of the Roman Catholic Church. So while I saw a man who was willing to come to Cicely for a baptism being just one of the guys, there are lines like bating atheists that bug me. I would have been interested to hear his case because I've been in that conversation a million times. Usually it starts with the words, "How do you explain...." I can't explain anything but that doesn't mean some guy who has been fed a bill of goods by centuries of questionable doctrines, usually to keep men in power and fill the Vatican's coffers. When I ask the same question back they have no answer but their own beliefs. There's my soap box. And then we have Holling acting like a total jerk. He has this wife with a fifteen year old's view of the world, but she is his wife, and his actions were really disrespectful. Getting the Priest drunk and all that stuff. Are we done with the baby now? I thought more interesting was Ed's betrayal of Ruth Anne's privacy. We've all been there when we were seen as insignificant, with low self esteem, we throw out some gossip and get some attention. He pays a dear price for it. Ruth Anne has been his rock and he really blew it with her. Finally, Maggie is building an ultra-light but can't take Maurice's interference. He even comes to realize that it will never be her little plane unless he bows out. These two events make the episode go so I can rank it this hight. The latter stories are much more interesting.
