You've gotta love it when a scheme blows up in Bill's face. James Caan guest stars (as James Caan, 'natch) who's there to observe a day in the life of a broadcaster for a movie role (which is just the kind of ego-fluffing Bill needs) . . . and ends up being spellbound by the enigmatic spaz that is Matthew. You just know from the outset that this isn't going to work out for Bill, but the whole exchange is just so deliciously awkward. It's an easy guest spot, too; all Caan really has to do is react, but that's what sells it.
The only downside to this one is Mr. James is a little underplayed, but it's kinda cute to see Lisa geek out over C-SPAN.
