Some good events here. It begins with a cop being shot and killed in Chinatown. It requires bringing in a Chinese cop. The process is complicated because of a closed off society with unique rules. Ignored is the treatment of illegals being brought to the States. Mrs. Carlin, that badly beaten woman who wouldn't charge her husband is beaten to death. Of course, there is a good deal of persiflage. We are introduced to a new female cop who has some baggage but is a tough cookie.
