Putnam is gunned down by a sniper as he is being moved from the precinct. The rich guy who lost his daughter is obviously behind it. There is another guy, equally driven. A weird terrorist is caught with a woman in his trunk. It turns out that he is a bomb maker who is out to get at capitalist "pigs." Medavoy continues to act stupidly in his pursuit of Donna who by now must be feeling real pressure to leave or to turn him in.
