The Birds
RainDogJr12 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Joy and Darnell are tired of their "little monsters", Dodge and Earl Jr., so they decide to put them in a camp for discipline. But they still have the last name Hickey and that last name is not well appreciate in the discipline camp so is the perfect time for Earl to fix the barn that he burned at that camp. In that camp Randy must face his phobia to birds and at the same the truth about that burned barn because he was the real guilty so Earl feels like it was Randy's fault that he became in a bad person so suddenly the karma list is now Randy's list.

This is a very good episode but maybe too sentimental because of the lesson that the "little monsters" teach to Earl that makes him forgive his brother; "You two are a couple of fruits", said Joy, "I think it's sweet", said Darnell. And yes, I think they look like a little of the two. Anyway, the flashbacks and the gags with Randy's phobia to birds are just great, feeling threatened of the ostrich even inside his own room. And also the little detail of Catalina's speech, dedicated to the Latino audience is really cool and funny because it looks like she is insulting Joy.

Catalina leaves clear she doesn't completely speak Spanish.

Warning: Spoilers
Although I gotta admit that I think this episode is somewhat boring, not that it isn't funny but not as funny as the other I've seen, there are two things I found very amusing, one is of course: "stupid Carson Daly", I really did enjoy that, and "Sorry, I don't speak maid" (LOL); I thought I'd say that since what I have to say is very short and I need to write at least ten lines. Anyway, this should be put under the category of goofs, because when Catalina says that Spanish lines, she has an accent and says one thing wrong, she says "otra idioma" when actually it is "otro idioma", showing she might not be Spanish speaking at all, but that's of course more evident for people who speak Spanish; little detail.
