Getting a bit hard to watch.

Warning: Spoilers
For some reason the defendant decides to testify in the middle of the trial. His 'wife' tries to extort a Lexus from the escrow account which is impossible as it is run by the court to disburse funds to defense counsel as charges are incurred.

First the wife: she hires a lawyer to pressure Wyler to give her the money for her Lexus. Wyler points out that the money is accessible only through the court system for expenses related to the defense. Any competent lawyer would have checked this before taking her case! He walks away with nothing. Later it is discovered she is still married to some guy in Utah and unsurprisingly is a con artist.

Clifford Banks is now upset that she didn't get the car (this before it is revealed she is still married to someone else) so he testifies to ruin his case. He testifies that he did the murders and hates his defense counsel...Wyler in particular. I would think this would be enough for Wyler to get out of the case.

When Wyler reveals that Banks' wife is not actually his wife, Banks says that he is now on his list, presumably his 'to kill' list. Why does Wyler stay on the case??????
