"I don't think he's the ideal playmate for our sweet little Eddie," says Marilyn after the family has just met "Googie."
Who remembers "Googie?" He was the wise-guy friend of Eddie's who spends a weekend at the Munster home as a guest of Eddie. The kid has smart remarks to say, joy buzzers for handshakes (who remembers those? I admit, I owned one), etc.
The biggest joke the kid plays is on Grandpa. He has our elderly mad scientist convinced he cannot change Googie back after he supposedly changed him into a monkey (don't ask).
Overall, this episode should have been funnier than it was, because it really didn't have many laughs. Not only that, the kid got away with it! The only possible form of retribution is at the end when Herman says he plans to go over to talk to Googie's father about his prank "face to face." Actually, there still would be no justice as the father will get the shock of his life, but the boy still gets off Scot-free.
