Male chauvinism on display
kevinolzak19 October 2016
"Mindy and Mork" finds Mindy insisting that Mork fend for his own breakfast when she's late for work. Enter Exidor with a gift for the little woman, the 'Maid-O-Matic,' which doesn't exactly set the world on fire. Finding woman's work more difficult than a male chauvinist would admit, Mork almost gets Mindy fired after phoning in live to Dr. Joni Lincoln (Elinor Donahue), who offers advice to couples with problems. By role playing in each other's shoes, Mork demonstrates to Mindy how neglectful she's been, and she suggests they both adjust to the changes necessitating hard work. For the last five minutes we get to see both characters act out the other, and the two stars shine as they always did together. As lovely as ever, Elinor Donahue was best remembered as the eldest daughter on the 50s sitcom FATHER KNOWS BEST.
