Klea Scott is introduced as Special Agent Emma Hollis is introduced in this episode. With the absence of Megan Gallagher, there was a need for a female to play a prominent role in the series. Fox executives wanted a white actress but Scott's agent fought hard for her to land the part.
Although Frank Black ended the second season with pure white hair, with the opening of the third, his hair has largely reverted back to being dark. This was mainly at the instigation of the Fox executives who didn't want to have a white-haired leading man. Henriksen himself was not keen on this and, as the season progresses, it's clearly a battle he won.
