Al can't pay his gas bill!
Sylviastel11 December 2009
You just love Al Bundy as he tries to bring his family closer together. When the family realizes that Al has watched a sad film, they are in trouble. He decides to take the family out in public in the family Dodge. He has a surprise for them. He pulls into a full-service gas station where he only has $2.00 but his family splurges like the Rockefellers by eating and buying candy, slim Jims, and soda. So Al gets stuck pumping gasoline at a full-service gas station and is met by a seemingly perfect family who isn't perfect after all and of course, Marcy and Jefferson come along. All he needs is $12.00 and hopes that his beloved family will raise the money enough for him.

Someone have a word with wardrobe.

When Al watches Shenandoah on TV, he gets all emotional and wants to spend time with his family. He suggests a Bundy Sunday Funday, which involves driving to a gas station and paying extra to have the attendant pump the fuel. Unfortunately, Peg and the kids also fill up on snacks that Al cannot afford, so he has to work at the station to pay off the debt.

Al thinks that he is far enough from home that no-one he knows will see him, but of course Marcy and Jefferson show up and laugh at his situation. At the end of the episode, Al makes Bud take over, giving him his gas station shirt (with the name Habib on it) to wear -- seconds later, the Swedish bikini team show up and tell Bud that they just love guys named Habib, and that he should get in the car and watch while they drive down a bumpy road.

This one is no classic, but watching Bud's grin when the Swedish babes show up is worth the wait. However, the person who thought it would be a good idea to have Christina Applegate wear unflattering, baggy MC Hammer pants needs a good talking to.
