This episode was originally titled "A Period Piece", but the Fox Network censors thought that women would be offended by the title, even though the episode was written by two women and the series' episode titles never appeared on screen. The censors asked the writers to retitle the script, so the writers just named it "The Camping Show".

Periodically amusing.

Al and Steve arrange to go fishing during Al's week off, but Steve brings Marcy, who tells Peg and the kids. Everyone arrives at the cabin, but Kelly is grumpy. She has PMS. Pretty soon, all of the women's bodies have synchronised and they're all grouchy. Things get worse for the not-so-happy campers when the women's menstruation attracts wild animals, trapping them all in the cabin.

This is not the greatest episode of MWC: most of the gags are fairly weak, with just a few genuine giggles sprinkled here and there. When a show has to resort to a person in a moth-eaten bear costume chasing the main character wearing home-made antlers, it's not a good sign. Apparently this one was fairly controversial when it was first aired but now it seems quite tame.
