Peggy Thinks Al's Cheating!
Sylviastel30 May 2009
Peggy suspects that Al isn't going bowling but cheating with a mistress. When she meets Ginger, a kept woman by a married man, She suspects it's Al. When Peggy calls "Mr. 24 inch Sony." He replies "Don't call me a TV." He doesn't get it. The beauty salon is quite a memorable place where every woman comes out with a Dusty Springfield bouffant hairstyle including Marcy. Steve won't come near her with that hairstyle. Peggy is worried that Al is cheating on her and she is determined to get answers. Peggy gets advice from Kelly who has been after boys since she was small. Bowling is a usual excuse. The kids are excited and scout for potential stepfathers unknown to Al like the butcher.

Not hair-larious.

While at the hair salon with her friends, Peggy is led to believe that Al is having an affair with gold-digging, husband-stealing blonde Ginger (Elizabeth Keifer).

The best moment in this episode concerns Al being ranked as less desirable than Alf, the TV puppet alien, which leads Peggy to remark 'They'd rather make love to a piece of cloth with a man's hand in it'. Unfortunately, the rest of this one isn't very remarkable, the story being rather mundane. Not much is made of the other plot point -- Marcy's new hairstyle that Steve finds ridiculous: it's almost as though the writers didn't have any faith in their material this time around.
