Bud trying to score with a babe is usually good for a few laughs and this one is no exception. The lad is attempting to bed young beauty Jamie but their privacy is invaded by Al searching for his Big 'Uns magazine and by Peggy looking for her red bra.
Bud decides to look for a place of his own cannot find anywhere that he can afford, so he moves into the Bundy basement instead. Now all he has to do is try and trick Jamie into thinking that the basement is his new pad. Meanwhile, Peggy's mother has moved into the Bundy's home, having had an argument with her husband Ephraim. Desperate, Al tries to convince his father-in-law to apologise.
There are so many good moments in this episode that it's tough to choose a favourite: Kelly throwing dirt all over a basket of fruit; Al's delight at Bud leaving home ("The least you can do is get out. The most you can do is take your mother with you."); Al insulting Peggy's mother ("The Hoover Dam is retaining water."); Ephram's delight at being offered shoes ("Will you show me how they work too?"; and Bud's lame attempt to fool Jamie ("Sorry, Lord Bundy.").
