While out at the movies with Peggy, Al manages to pass for a senior citizen; realising that he can save money if he pretends to be over 65, he applies for a senior discount card. As a result, he receives an invitation to take part in a senior athletics championship.
Another forgettable season seven episode, this one sees Al partaking in a range of field sports and discovering that perhaps he isn't the athlete he once was. In 15th place after one day, Peggy suggests he quits, but Al is a Bundy, and Bundys aren't quitters. The sports-based humour on offer is predictable and unlikely to split many sides. Like Al, I'm thinking that this show's best days are behind it, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
