Not one of my favorites!

I can't write Peggy's maiden name because it comes across as profane on this website. You know what it is if you're a longtime fan. Anyway, Al and Kelly fake getting sick in order not to have to spend a week at a family reunion particularly of Peggy's strange, inbred relatives. While Peggy is excited, the family would rather fake illness than spend their time with that freak show on the other side of the family. Meanwhile, Kelly does get sick and Al tries to take care of her until he gets sick. In their absence, Al dreams about beautiful women fighting over each other. I don't recall Marcy being in this episode at all. I remember Bud being left out of Al and Kelly's plan to fake sickness in order to get out of spending time with relatives.

Pamela Anderson Leaves A BIG impression In One Of The Best Episodes
slightlymad2223 October 2014
Following on from the great season five opener being a 10/10 episode, we get another 10/10 episode.

Plot In A Paragraph: Al and Kelly fake being sick to avoid going to visit Peg's mother. The pull of the scheme and Peggy goes with Bud. All goes well until Kelly really becomes sick.

Due to the plot we only see Peggy and Bud at the beginning of the episode, the rest of it is carried solely by Al (Ed O'Neil) and Kelly (Christina Applegate)

This is the first episode where Al talks about when he "scored four touchdowns in a single game" and also this is the first episode where Al sings along to his favorite TV show "Psycho Dad".

O'Neil is again great as Al, as is the gorgeous Applegate as Kelly. But the biggest impression left from this episode is a buxom Pamela Anderson as Yvette who Al constantly finds himself in bed with. It must have been a hard day at the office for Ed O'Neil that day. Becky Mullen, who is also easy on the eye shares an interesting scene or two with Al too.

One of the best episodes of Season Five

"Married...with Children" was known for a lot of things during its long run on the used-to-be-amazing Fox Network. Among them were crude sexual humor, snappy dialog, and beautiful women. This episode, the second in Season Five, contains plenty of all three. While it may seem tame today, some of moments in this episode (specifically Al's dream sequences) were considered much more racy for 1990. These moments are also among some of the funniest the fifth season had. The dialog is consistently hilarious with Al getting all the best lines. Episodes like this make it obvious how much Ed O'Neill enjoyed playing the character of Al Bundy. Perhaps the most memorable aspect of this episode is the appearance of Pamela Anderson back when she still was in her prime. Her scenes are quite funny and she does a great job in them. The episode is not perfect. A lot of the Kelly jokes don't work and I found the ending to be really predictable. Still, this episode is a laugh riot even after repeated viewings therefore it deserves recognition. 8/10

Al... with Pammy.

To avoid visiting Peggy's mother for the week, Al and Kelly pretend to be ill. As soon as Bud and Peggy have left, Kelly comes down with a cold for real and rings a bell whenever she needs something; unfortunately for Al, Kelly uses the bell whenever Al is dreaming about hot blondes.

This may not be one of the funniest episodes, but it is crammed with babes: Kelly might be ill, but she still looks great, plus we get Al's dream girls, who have big hooters and don't wear much. One of the fantasy women is played by a pre-Baywatch Pamela Anderson who wrestles on Al's bed with another blonde while Al takes pictures.

When Kelly finally gets better, Al comes down with a cold. Kelly leaves the house, allowing her dad to get some sleep and return to his dirty dreams. Unfortunately, this time Al dreams of a big fat ugly nurse who wants to give him an enema. "Oh God, I can't wake up!", he screams in horror.
