- TriviaLorna's home is the same set as The Brady Bunch (1969) home.
- GoofsIt appears that Frank Marr agreed to pay the $5 million for the heroin which was to be conveyed in the suitcase Lorna bought. But a million dollars can't even fit into a foot locker (despite the fact criminals are often shown on TV being able to fit such amounts into a briefcase). The only way the 5 million would have fit would have been to use the out-of-circulation $100,000 bills, which would have been useless to everyone.
- Quotes
Lt. Art Malcolm: [Joe and Art are meeting in the middle of a bridge; Joe is going to pretend to kill Art] They bought it, huh?
Joe Mannix: So far.
Lt. Art Malcolm: I hope you haven't forgotten how to miss.
Joe Mannix: I hope you haven't forgotten how to swim.
[shoots the gun off angle and Art jumps into the water]

This one just doesn't make any sense....none whatsoever
I have watched seven of the eight seasons of "Mannix" and would have to say that "The Ragged Edge" is the worst episode...so far. It makes zero sense.
When the show begins, Mannix has been missing for 17 days and when Art Malcolm and his men find him, Mannix is a heroin addicted mess. It seems that someone kidnapped him and have been forcing him to take injections of horse for some time. Mannix has track marks all over his arms and he lives for his next fix.
Soon after being taken to the hospital, Mannix attacks the cop keeping an eye on him and he heads in search of heroin. No one will sell him any, however, as the folks who got him addicted want him to be REAL desperate for his next fix...so desperate that he's willing to murder Art Malcolm! After seeming to do this, Mannix is ushered into the world of drugs and hot women (Linda Evans).
By the end of all this, you learn that SOMEHOW Mannix really is immune to heroin and kicking it is easier than my addiction to Doritos....and he's been working with Malcolm all along to find a dirty cop. Huh?! What in the world is this? Are they saying that Mannix CHOSE to become an addict for the sake of the case? Or were they saying because he IS Mannix he is super-human? All I know is that this made no sense at all and the folks who make "The Ragged Edge" stole 50 minutes of my life!
