Lois goes psycho when avenging the honor of her son, Reese from some mean spirited girls.

Malcolm in the middle is one of my favorite TV shows of all-time. I love how unique and different it is from other shows. It's both real and surreal at the same time. I love this episode because it's the perfect random episode you can use to show someone what the show is about. This might be episode 16 in the show's last season but it has a simple plot, unlike most of the show's episodes but also shows how they're a different family from most family shows. I love how this perfectly shows how the dad, Hal lives in his own world and would rather stay out of the way and let Lois handle the problem. I love how this also shows that Lois is no ordinary mother. She's capable of going psycho to protect her son. It also shows how Malcolm is the voice of reason in the family that nobody listens too. I love Lois in this, I think she's the best TV mom. She might be a little psycho but always comes from a loving place. I know what Lois did was wrong but a part of me loves to see a mom that goes so far to protect her son. And what makes this show different from other shows is at the part when Lois realizes that she has gone to a dark place and doesn't want her sons to be like her, that's the moment when Reese wakes up and they decide to continue their streak of vengeance together and even tie up Malcolm so he won't get in the way. Sometimes we all need a mom like Lois.

Fabulous!

What a beautiful episode. Not only do you get the satisfaction of seeing four awful bullies get their comeuppance from Lois, but also a beautiful scene between Lois and Reese where we get an idea of what they have in common and why they are they way they are. Seeing a speech impaired, pre nose job Emma Stone, is just a bonus. This show is just wonderful as a whole, but Lois can be pretty awful. This episode kind of absolved her from some of her awfulness. My favourite episode for sure, and there are so many great ones in this amazing show.

Guest starring Emma Stone

Warning: Spoilers
This episode could be subtitled "Mother!" because Lois's revenge would make Death Wish's Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) humbled for sure. This episode has a spike in IMDb user votes and reviews, such is the nature of this episode.

Emma Stone makes a guest appearance, and before too long her career would explode with Zombieland.

I wonder about the relationship between Polly (Julie Hagerty) and Abe because nothing's been mentioned since the racially groundbreaking episode Polly in the Middle where Polly and Abe became an item.

Well done but sour plot

This was an interesting episode. Clearly it was well done enough that i've found multiple reddit's discussing it but I couldn't quite find what I was looking for.

This episode has an air of familiarity but no amount of googling brought up any info on if it was spoofing a particular movie. It felt like a 90's teen revenge movie to me. Reese being the victim and Lois exacting revenge on his assaulters, taking them out one by one. That being said, the punishment didn't feel like it fit the crime. When you spend 7 seasons having a character do awful, terrible things to people for the fun of it, it's hard to feel anything other than it's Karma that's being served.
