Head of the class

Warning: Spoilers
Dewey takes control of the special class, much to the hilarious outcome that one would expect from Malcolm in the Middle.

If Daria is ever made into a real-life movie then I nominate Bryan Cranston to play Daria's father.

This episode is the reason why I hate this show

Warning: Spoilers
I need to point out some important bits of information to understand why I hate this show most of all.

I went to both public and private schools. While I was in the public school system, I was put in a class similar to the one Dewey is placed in, however the students there, were had more behavioral and truancy issues, which didn't match what I had, I am autistic, and around the time this episode aired I was still in public school in that class, and I can tell you everything in this episode is all to real.

Mental illness, isn't funny, it isn't simple as labeling someone "insane" like they were some sort of animal. I don't know why Fox kept producing episodes that made fun, or had episodes in most of their shows, be about emotionally disturbed people being the butt of the joke.

Worst of all this episode tackles a real-life issue that goes on today. Being the inhuman treatment of those who society has left behind, and refuses to give any chances, intervention or help, and forces them to watch as other succeed and grow, while they are forced to remain in their place, and witness what they can never have.

Malcolm in the middle would have just been a dumb sitcom, that I wouldn't have any problems with, if not for the inclusion of the Busey class, they offend me, since they are harmful stereotypes of those with mental illness. Those episodes perpetuate and/ or reinforce the fears people already have about people with neurological issues or the like.

I may be autistic, but people on spectrum have been labeled "disturbed" by society before, and is still a blemish on society, that has yet had it's day in court. Since schools don't talk about the hurtful treatments done in the past to people with autism.

This episode, and the following one, when the Busey's take hostage of their teacher and principle, are offensive, because they address the criminal injustices that inflicted kids like me who were told to believe they would never be anything more then what we already are, and your only good for one thing, "slave labor according to Dewey.

These are all to real issues that need to be address with in our society, there needs to be change.

This episode makes light of the issue, and instead focuses on it's frat boy humor, and mean spirted jokes, that are meant to make you think they are on the same level as you. All have left to say is, "Screw this show".
