The most convoluted revenge plot ever devised

Before viewing "Past Tense", the viewer's suspension of disbelief mode needs to be fully operational. This is by far the most convoluted revenge plot ever devised by a bad guy.

We're introduced to the previously unseen Ice Pick (played in this episode only by Walter Chotzen) who is as threatening in person as his name suggests. Thankfully, Rick hides any signs of sweaty palms by meeting him in the unusual setting of a sauna.

The quirky Lieutenant Yoshi Tanaka also makes an appearance. Gotta love this guy (and, yes, he's still wearing the hat he pinched from Magnum).

Incidentally, this is a female free "Magnum" episode. It's filled to the brim with testosterone. Normal service will be resumed next episode.

8 out of 10. Far fetched it may be but this is still a great way to spend 50 minutes.

Exciting! Lose the surprise Magnum.

Exciting! Revenge episode. T C get highjacked with Higgens for a prison break. There is jungle, gun running, and double crosses and revenge. I like the plot twists. Magnum has to be smart but is also lucky. Rick regrettably is the comic relief as Rick get the short end of one of Magnum's plans. Well written, directed and acted. For a change Higgns long winded stories help T C out lol. 8 stars.

I must admit I haven't been fond of being tempted to watch the Magnum reboot so I am enjoying watching the early seasons of the original and best of course. Anyway, the climactic shoot out was filmed at Nimitz Beach in SW Oahu. The prison escape scene was quite spectacularly filmed and all credit to the helicopter pilot who guided she chopper into the prison grounds.

I'm enjoying catching up on the early seasons of Magnum, P. I. and also Law and Order and also a daytime dose of Father Brown and Superstore. As I said, I have zero interest in the Magnum reboot sorry. Anyway, make sure to watch the original.

Lame episode

I've been atching reruns of Magnum on the Charge Network I realize though I always like to show back in the day some episodes are not as good as I remember, this one included. Yes, convoluted and lame plot.I did get to see the Ivan episode the other day .I love how he finished him off.
