Chaotic comic adventure for Thomas and friends
DVD_Connoisseur2 November 2018
"Ghost Writer" is a light hearted yarn, a comic interlude around the half mark point for Season 2.

Patch Mackenzie, who plays the writer Virginia Fowler, is absolutely delectable. She also has great comic timing, essential for a chaotic caper like this one.

Jon ("Creepshow") Lormer plays Barker the butler, who endures quite a bit of physical abuse at the hands of the gang. I genuinely felt sorry for this character.

Even the actress Louise Lewis has to spend some of her time in the boot of a car - this episode doesn't treat the more mature members of the cast gracefully.

Roger E. Mosley is hilarious as TC suddenly has a few extra dollars to spare.

8 out of 10. Light on story but the cast are great.

One of the better stories of the season 2!

Warning: Spoilers
One of the better stories of the season 2! There is a missing millionaire and a harassed autobiographer. Much humor, and characters which mix mystery and humor. Much like the old 70's movie mysteries of the week. The ending is a very 70's movie mystery climax. 8 stars.

Warning: Spoilers
Anyway, a "ghost writer" Virginia Fowler (played by Patch Mackenzie) hires Magnum to get behind the mystery of a robber of her book notes and so on. Anyway, there is an air of mystery about this, kind of a sterile feel to it. One of the scenes reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

With all the tragic fires around Maui, I was thinking about this series just a bit more in that tragic light.

Magnum, P. I. is always good fun. It's my daytime TV and so on, which I watch on a rotational basis with Father Brown, Superstore and Murder, She Wrote.

Talking of which, there was a Murder, She Wrote crossover with Magnum.
