Like a 70's murder mystery! Well sorta of a psychic murder mystery. Magnum's client believe she will be murdered by the client's on premonition. Fragments kept the viewer on edge as fragments of a clients premonition's come together as Magnum's investigation unfolds. Directed in a way of just giving away small doses of the plot in a slow burn method. The ending is cheesy in a formulated tv way. Fragments is worth watching one time.

Warning: Spoilers
A strong British influence is in this episode, and I don't mean Higgins. David Hemmings, famous for his lead role in Blowup in the 60s, is the director. In fact, he directed many A-Team episodes which I wondered about at the time but because there was no internet, I couldn't confirm. Samantha Eggar, another British citizen, is guest star in Fragments, and she knows quite a lot. Kenneth Mars makes a guest appearance, and he was hilarious later on in Malcolm in the Middle.
The ending was suspenseful, and the psychic thing really got much air play in the episode that made it worthwhile watching.

After a couple of episodes that were less contrived than usual, the plot of this one is up there with the most unrealistic Magnum episodes and that, to quote the great Blackadder, is up against some pretty stiff competition!
