The Coltons

Finally the Coltons reunited for the first time, it's a very good episode, with suspense, action and infiltration... plus Mom and even frog are in the game, to complete a solid casting. To see and review without hesitation.

Was this a sideways spinoff?

Considering Reece, Little, Gooding, as well as much of the supporting cast we were all well known TV and movie actors, it seems like this an in-show pilot. I would like to know why a strong cast like this didn't get picked up for a series. It would have been excellent.

Warning: Spoilers
Was it a spin off? It should have been. Not sure what abc's reason for not picking it up was, but going to speculate. Mr. Littleton died in 92, and somewhere around same time, touched by an angel premiered. I'm going to guess, maybe out of respect to one of the team dieing maybe they decided not to pursue it. Plus richard dean anderson was involved in stargate in nezt year or two. I'm going to guess either mr littletons death was an issue, or abc like so many networks waited so long to make a decision the other's already had stuff to do and thus weren't available. That's my guess. Don't believe me? Ncis los angelos had a proposed spin off red something. Supposedly according to some sources the main character john something was written specifically for the actor who played him in the back door pilot. Cbs took so long to make a decision on it, by the time they did he was no longer available and poof no spinoff. Shame to it looked like it was a good idea.
