In Carrie's dream, she and Mac are fleeing the "phantom car" that is approaching them along the flat level gravelly shore of the lake, yet when Mac throws Carrie aside to avoid the car, she lands among the grass and rocks of the meadow that's a lot farther up the bank from the lake, near the pit with the "steel skeleton".
The brainwave-analyzer has barely started recording its undulating scribes on the chart before the operator mentions the forming of a "base pattern", and still with just a few inches of inked fluctuations printed on the paper. Then the camera cuts to a close-up view of the chart, and it's suddenly become an entire long table-width of squiggly lines. Then when the camera cuts back to the wide-angle view of all the people in the testing-room, the chart is mostly blank once again, with just a short section of result-patterns printed on the slowly-feeding chart-paper.
The discarded car mirror is facing "away" from Mac and Carrie (they approach it from "behind", or the non-reflective side), so it could not have cast a glare in their faces.
Obviously-empty coffee-mugs that Mac brings over to the table where Carrie is sitting, prior to her telling him about her nightmare. Mac could not have casually carried the mugs with a carefree swinging motion and plunked them loudly down on the table without spilling the hot coffee and burning himself. The camera makes a footage-cut to a completely-different viewing-angle just before Carrie starts drinking the coffee, and the handles of the mugs that they're now using are noticeably slenderer and less massive than those on the cups that Mac had brought over to the table, so these obviously aren't even the same cups as were first seen.
In Carrie's dream, she and Mac are shown crouching in a pit that is surrounded on all sides by a grassy meadow and with woods a short distance behind it, yet when they are later shown fleeing from the "phantom car on floats" that is rocketing towards them from across the lake, they are running along the pebbly beach next to the lake, which would mean that they have run *towards* the approaching car, not away from it into the woods.
