When Col. Potter is challenging Maj. Winchester to a bridge match while in the mess tent and says that they'll need partners, Klinger eagerly volunteers, "This is your lucky day, sir. I'm ready, willing, and available." This is an obvious implication that Klinger knows how to play bridge -- which is further supported by his use of specific bridge terms while doing the "play-by-play" between rounds during the match in the officers' club. However, after Winchester chides Klinger for giving away B.J.'s hand when Klinger announces that B.J. has a straight flush, Klinger responds, "How can I? I don't know nothin' about this game."
