Klinger wants Winchester to read to him, "I, the Jury" by Mickey Spillane (although Winchester slurs the author's name); this was the first of the Mike Hammer books. Originally published by Signet in 1947 it became a runaway bestseller by 1950 and was turned into a United Artists picture in 1953. The copy that Jamie Farr is holding, however, is a later reprint that post-dates the Korean War.
When Winchester is sitting at Klinger's desk stamping the paperwork, the rubber stamp leaves no marks on the papers.
