The officers club includes a portrait of General Douglas MacArthur. This means that the episode takes place before MacArthur was relieved of his commands by President Truman on April 11, 1951. By the beginning of season three of the series The General Flipped at Dawn (1974), the portrait was replaced by a placard containing Army insignias, indicating that MacArthur was no longer in command.
