The Love Boat
Extras are commonly used several times in the background of course. The same man wearing a three piece white linen suit, with a light blue shirt, and blue striped tie can be seen three separate times within a span of a few minutes as passengers are disembarking. --- That blond man was actually seen three times, but not in error: first he was seen, behind the guest-stars talking to the crew, as he exits, possibly towards the elevators. That led him to an area near the exit, where he is seen for the second time, browsing stuff by a counter, and finally, the elegant gentleman in white is seen exiting that area and moving screen left behind the foreground stars, as he was going to disembark. So, this extra behaved as naturally as a real person disembarking a cruise-ship would, moving from one area to another.
Boasts perhaps the most extensive list of famous guest-stars ever on the show in one same title.
Some time between the 1940s and the '70s, Anne Baxter got a major nose altering procedure. The results meant not only a change in face, but a very much altered personality as well. She went on to guest-star in many '70s and '80s TV shows, including Mannix and Columbo, where she played an aging movie star from Hollywood's Golden Age era. (Baxter won an Oscar for The Razor's Edge in 1947).
Anne Baxter had guest-starred in a Mannix title. Here, she shares no scenes with Mike Connors.
Halston somehow got the most favorable introduction from Anne Baxter, in spite of fashion designer and TV costume designer, Bob Mackie, also having been previously introduced. (Mackie did all the Carol Burnett show's costumes.) His dresses here were the most fancy and glamorous of all presented. In 2021, a TV series is being made revolving around Halston (2021) allegedly scandalous lifestyle. Halston died of AIDS in 1990.
