Lois begins receiving gifts from an anonymous stranger, who turns out to be a very dangerous prankster.

While at an art exhibit with Jimmy, Perry, and Clark, Lois receives a gift from an anonymous admirer. She's pleasantly surprised, until the gift turns sour. She receives several more gifts that seem nice but turn out to be the work of the same prankster, a man whom Lois helped to put in jail when she wrote her first big story. Now he's out and is hatching a "diabolical" plan, but he's going to get even with Lois while he's at it.

It's yet another example in the series of someone getting revenge on Lois or using Lois to get to Superman, but that's one of the reasons this show worked. I love the interplay between Clark and Lois, who haven't yet figured out exactly what their relationship is. Everyone assumes the first gift is from Clark, but he claims "I may be from Kansas, but I'm not THAT corny." He even seems to get a little jealous while he's at it, which is nice for the chemistry between them.

The acting, as always for this show, is very good, too. The main cast do their usual good job. The characters of the prankster, his father, and his bumbling and somehow dimwitted scientist sidekick are also very well played.
