A bunch of kids escape from a boarding school, steal some sort of potion invented by a doctor working at that school - and, naturally, in league with the always-nefarious Lex Luthor - and become brainiacs, wreaking havoc across Metropolis. They even manage to figure out Clark's secret.
Good to see Michael Landes' Jimmy Olsen playing a substantial role in the events of the episode, rather than just being the kid on the receiving end of Perry White's irascible demands. The same can't be said for Tracey Scoggins as Cat Grant. The character adds absolutely nothing to the show.
Interesting to see some of the Superman flying scenes definitely show Chicago landmarks - Sears Tower and Wrigley Field - even though Metropolis in the comics and elsewhere is heavily influenced by New York City.
