The most remarkable chess game in the history of the two universes
XweAponX5 December 2021
We knew that this was coming. This episode was teased ever since Kai and Prince started playing chess on the bridge of the Lexx.

We just didn't know what form it would take. Or where it would happen.

What ensues is a replay of a remarkable historic chess game, performed by the crew of the Lexx versus their antagonists. On the white side we have Prince, Priest, Bunny, Vlad, and His Divine Shadow (but not the voice of His Divine Shadow which had always been done until now by Walter Borden, who is playing Professor Longbore this season), Plus a couple of other evil entities. On the black side we have Stan, Kai, and Xev, along with a host of their friends and other non-evil associates. Including the Time Prophet and 790.

From start to finish this game is examined in great detail as the two opposing forces taunt each other and illustrate why certain moves were bad moves or mistakes. From a chess players point of view, this is one of the best chess games ever played. It is actually fairly exciting. But what gives the game life are the animated antics of the black and white chess pieces.

The Prince King piece likes to use illuminated squares to discuss the state of the board at every turn.

He just doesn't see certain things which are developing on the other side of the board.

It doesn't matter who wins this game, we know Prince. We know that he has a unique way of honoring his promises. In this case we know that he will do what he has promised to do for Kai.

But we will have to wait to see exactly what that will be. In the meantime, enjoy this game. Because the show goes straight into whack a doodleville as they parody Apocalypse Now and then go visit Lost Vegas...
