- Detective Elliot Stabler: [to Munch about speed dating] You sure know a lot about it.
- Detective John Munch: Well, I went through a little dating slump.
- Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Called adulthood.
- Capt. Donald Cragen: Romeo just signed up for tonight's event.
- Olivia Benson: He's looking for a new Juliet.
- D.A. Arthur Branch: [to Casey after Cora's mother notifies the newspapers] What the hell were you thinking?
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Cora's mom went to the papers. How is that my fault?
- D.A. Arthur Branch: You gave her the baloney and she made the sandwich.
- Detective John Munch: Are we gonna decide the quadriplegic's lives aren't worth living? What about the severely retarded? We kill them too?
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: No one's suggesting we murder the disabled.
- Detective John Munch: The Nazis didn't call it murder either.
- [first lines]
- Dr. Mike Jergens: Obey me, or die.
- Dr. Mike Jergens: [cuts phone cord; puts hand over mouth of second victim, awakening and terrifying her] Obey me, or die.
- Jack: It's not what you think.
- Olivia Benson: You had sex with women you came to you for therapy. What do you call that?
- Jack: Exploring new treatments?
- Detective Elliot Stabler: With your compass pointing north.
- Olivia Benson: Mike spent half our date bad-mouthing Cora. He doesn't love her. He just needs an alibi.
- Cora Kennison: [after Cora ends up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning] I don't drink all the time. I never blacked out before. I was just so upset about Mike.
- Olivia Benson: I understand, but if you don't stop drinking, and bingeing and puking, you could die.
- Olivia Benson: I'm worried about Cora. She had a rough time facing the grand jury and she still has to testify against Mike at trial. She's really fragile.
- Detective Elliot Stabler: Well, that's why you got her into rehab.
- Olivia Benson: Oh, no, the mother won't let her go. Virginia says that she can take care of Cora all by herself.
- Detective Elliot Stabler: Love never cured an alcoholic.
- Olivia Benson: [after Mike and Cora get married while Mike is in prison] You son of a bitch.
- Dr. Mike Jergens: Please, you're in God's house.
- Olivia Benson: Cora, listen to me. I know that you know in your heart that he's guilty.
- Cora Kennison: I don't want him to be.
- Olivia Benson: I know how hard this is to face. You have to testify.
- Cora Kennison: You want me to send my husband to prison?
- Olivia Benson: I want you to tell the truth.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: [when Mike Jergens wants to have Cora's feeding tube removed] You couldn't shut her up at trial, so you shut her up forever?
- Olivia Benson: [to Mike Jergens] You were never gonna kill yourself, but you knew that Cora wouldn't live without you.
- Dr. Mike Jergens: That's a terrible thing to say to a grieving husband.
- Olivia Benson: [to the guards] Get him the hell out of here!
- Detective Elliot Stabler: [to Mike Jergens] You meet a girl, you date her, then you act like a control freak. She turns you down, you stalk her, and you sneak back later to rape her. Guys like you are compulsive. You follow the same script every time.
- Olivia Benson: Virginia Kennison won't accept the diagnosis. She wants to keep Cora's body alive even though her mind is dead.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Cora and her mom haven't been close for a long time. Virginia's gotta be feeling guilty.
- Olivia Benson: She's not the only one. I pushed her to testify.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: And I subpoenaed her.
- Olivia Benson: How's this gonna affect the trial?
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Well, it won't. Cora finished her testimony, so the defense can't ask for a mistrial.
- Olivia Benson: Too bad the corrections officers got to Mike before he could off himself and he wouldn't have to finish the trial.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: I'll still convict the bastard.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: [to Branch] We speak for the victims, and you taught me that.
- D.A. Arthur Branch: Crime victims. Nobody's committing a crime here.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Mike Jergens did. So should a rapist who's been her husband for a week get to pull the plug on Cora?
- D.A. Arthur Branch: She married him.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: He conned her. He doesn't know what Cora really wants.
- D.A. Arthur Branch: And you do?
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Her mother does.
- D.A. Arthur Branch: Based on what? Letters, diaries, a memorable conversation? A living will?
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Based on the mother knowing her child.
- D.A. Arthur Branch: That's not enough.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: There's a difference between law and justice.
- D.A. Arthur Branch: Casey, I agree, but this is not your fight.
