Jess Harper's temper gets him in trouble again when he's framed for the murder of a rancher, John Gorman, who broke a contract to sell horses to Sherman Ranch. Jess took a punch at the owner's nephew Rink when he attempted to throw Jess off the ranch. Jess threatens to return to settle accounts with Gorman. Jess with a lame horse is tracked down by the Sheriff and a posse who wants to lynch him. Wounded and on the run from a posse, Jess lands in a nest of vipers when he finds refuge with Calvin Hawks and his gang. It's a precarious situation for Jess with part of the gang wanting him dead and part wanting to use him in their next robbery. With Jess branded an outlaw he must stay with Hawks' gang in their big bank heist just to stay alive and help Ginny Hawks, Calvin's blind daughter, and her mother escape the life that they've been forced to live. Now Jess has to foil the robbery and clear his name without losing his life.
