Melvin's Memorial Song
jabshire-6211311 September 2019
The memorial song is Tracy Chapman's Say Hallelujah. Someone else asked this question and I found the song. Don't know if anyone else is going to appreciate it. Gotta write more to submit this because I don't want it to get deleted. Loved this show and this episode. Cried a little bit not gonna lie. Lesbians man, they're pretty dramatic human beings. Point is, the song is amazing and now everyone can know the name hopefully. Still not long enough. Sorry everyone who's read this far, there's no useful information at this point, just typing to even get this posted.

Gloria Steinem at the funeral... talk about forced!
TheFearmakers28 November 2019
Having feminist robot Gloria Steinem and her horrible acting at Bette's father's funeral made no sense. Her dad was a Christian man who did NOT understand lesbians, and here's Gloria saying how great he was. Then they show a picture of Ossie Davis with Bill Clinton after Gloria. Which is funny because Clinton is the only man Gloria ever gave a pass to (a clumsy pass at that) for abusing women. She believes all accusations except those against Bill. So funny. Anyhow, having her on this episode was just forced and silly. Other than that, along with a contrived song by the band Heart, this was a Special Guest Star episode that didn't move the overall story forward much. And watching Jenny rocking to Heart was just sickening. She's gross!

Melvin's Memorial Song....
benbow7811 October 2012
I just want to find something out - but I have to fill this with 10 lines and possibly get blacklisted for spam. It's not spam, it's a legitimate question. OK is that enough fluff to get this posted?. Well I tried again to post and apparently not. So let me add that, Bette, is the epitome of femininity and strength in one embodiment.

Everyone seems to be able to tell me who wrote this song, or has done the best cover - but not who ACTUALLY did the cover of the song sang at Melvin's Memorial.

Love it. Re watched season 2 yesterday and can't get this Woman's soulful voice out of my head. Perfect. HELP.

Thanks in advance.
