When Sheriff Boggs shoots the bells with his rifle a shell casing is ejected onto his hat's brim. The casing is visible when he lowers his head when seen from the front, but in the reverse-angle shots when Sun-yen is speaking the shell casing disappears. When he walks away and tips his hat, the casing is also missing.
The large caliber rifle sheriff uses to shoot the bells, would dent or puncture the bells, or tear them from their support, but they merely jingle as if hit by a bb-gun. The following close-up of the bells shows them undamaged, not a scratch.
Outside the Sheriff's office, the rancher ties his horse to the hitching post. The post is obviously not in the ground. As the horse nuzzles the post, it moves.
When Houlton rides into town ahead of Caine to see the Sheriff, an high voltage transmission tower can be seen on a hill behind the town, directly above the "Ideal Restaurant".
