Moses Gunn as a Brazilian fighter
kevinolzak12 July 2010
Episode 13 begins with the arrival in town of Isaac Montola (Moses Gunn), who is immediately set upon by three rowdies looking for trouble, impressing Caine with his African fighting abilities taught to him in Brazil by his late father, who died a slave like his father before him. During the fracas, Isaac loses a diamond picked up by three little boys hoping to hire Caine to kill a piano player named Zolly (Gregory Sierra), because he was supposed to marry their mother (Kelly Jean Peters). In his search for the missing stone, which he hopes will provide a better life for him, Isaac accidentally knocks down the town sheriff, killing him. While Zolly aids Caine in returning the children to their mother, Isaac follows, believing Caine to have stolen his diamond. Among the flashbacks, the young Caine berates himself as a coward for not helping his friend against five bullies in the marketplace, advised not to be angry by Master Po (Keye Luke), who admits that fighting alone against many would be heroic but foolish: "what is cowardice, but the body's wisdom of its weakness? What is bravery, but the body's wisdom of its strength? The coward and the hero march together within every man, so to call one man coward and another brave, merely serves to indicate the possibilities of their achieving the opposite." Even the weaker entries can be redeemed by the overall basic philosophy.

No Justice

Surprise surprise. The same franchise that ripped off Bruce Lee's idea and cast it with a white guy doesn't do Capoeira any justice either.
