The episode was supposed to help in launching David Hasselhoff's singing career with the release of his debut album "Night Rocker" featuring Catherine Hickland (his then-wife in real life) on three songs.
At the climax of the episode, Michael considers leaving the Foundation for Stevie - an offer she declines "for now." This plot point is picked up in the fourth season sequel to this episode, The Scent of Roses.
This episode is named after the popular love song, which Michael and Stevie sing to each other at the convention hall - which is actually the Universal Amphitheater.
Entertainment Tonight visited the set to cover the filming of this episode.
This is the last appearance of April Curtis -Rebecca Holden- in the series; she no longer appeared in the next episode season finale "big iron".
