If you thought Michael Knight was just a policeman, we learn that he was also in the Special Forces in this episode. I guess it was a way to beef up his skill set.
This episode has a scene stealing performance by actress Carole Cook who plays a campaigning state senator who takes on big business by trying to stop an environmentally disastrous bill.
Knight's job is to protect her especially as the senator is a good friend of Devon. KITT has a nice time teasing a car park attendant but apart from that the plot is rather mundane as a nasty businessman tries to take out the senator and then try to stop her reaching the political debate by cutting the telephone lines. I was shocked that KITT did not have an early version of mobile a phone.

Not sure the other shows i've seen her in, but i do recognize her. Carole Cook delivers an exceptional performance that makes this a particularly good ep.
Also kitt avoiding being towed was a gimmick early in the show that disappeared which is disappointing as they are a hoot.

Gotta love the 80s fit and those coke bottle glasses on the senator. The storyline was interesting enough with a few cool car scenes. Acting was mediocre.
Although the Foundation is non-political, its board includes senator Maggie Flynn, who often opposes the profit-driven establishment in the legislature. Devon's fear she's targeted and assigns Michael to be her bodyguard.
A fun episode thanks to Carole Cook as the strong-minded politician who campaigns for the common person. Her interaction with KITT is amusing. The beautiful Nancy Lee Grahn also stars and her face expressions as KITT turbo boosts over a car is amazing.
