A fashion model named Rachel is found dead; an apparent suicide, or so the police believe, however her friend Lauren believes she was murdered and contacts the Foundation for help. Michael meets Lauren at a photo shoot and poses as her old boyfriend to avoid suspicion while he investigates. He starts by checking out Chris Carlson, Rachel's boyfriend, but finds him murdered in his apartment.
After chasing and losing a suspect who fled the scene, Michael decides to snoop around during a lavish party hosted by Lauren's boss, Bernie Mitchell, who gives expensive-looking, but fake, diamond jewelry to his models. He discovers Mitchell is switching the real diamonds with the fakes after his models return from shoots in Europe and South America. His girls wear them to sneak them past U. S. Customs and Mitchell then sells them illegally to foreign VIPs. Michael guesses Rachel and Chris knew about it and planned a little heist of their own, but Mitchell caught on to their scheme. Michael still needs proof, and after Lauren is dragged down to Mexico City for Mitchell's next sale, Michael heads there and devises a sting operation involving Devon to pose as a buyer for the diamonds and catch Mitchell with enough evidence to bring him down.
Cameron Mitchell steals the scene as the villain in this otherwise mediocre episode which features a bevy of girls, KITT tearing through the gate and Michael knocking out a henchman. A little on the dull side, though. I liked how KITT made it look like a poltergeist was at work, scaring the two lovers from a room Micheal was hiding in - well, more accurately, he was in a cupboard.

Cameron Mitchell played great villains. Here he plays charming Bernie Mitchell an owner of a modelling agency. The models are used to smuggle expensive jewellery out with the dresses they are modelling. It is a sophisticated money laundering scam
The foundation sends Michael to investigate when of the model is found dead and her friend another model contacts the Knight Foundation.
Michael Knight enjoys hanging out with the models and talking to KITT via his watch. He also gets to do a nice driving stunt. KITT meanwhile tells Devon that he is afraid of flying as he has to be flown out to Mexico as cargo. KITT also gets to practice his Spanish.
There is an early foray into electronic banking. Mitchell seems to have high speed internet with no password protection for his offshore bank account. No wonder KITT managed to hack it.

Michael feels right at home surrounded by models as he investigates a suspicious death, which is never really explained as to why its a foundation job. Anyway, decent storyline and acting.

- TriviaOriginally, when confronted by Nina about not existing until two years before, Michael was to pretend to be drunk. In the episode as filmed, Michael merely quips, "Could've fooled me."
- GoofsOn one occasion during the car chase when the Monte Carlo runs a red light/stop sign and barrels through the intersection, a nearby gray pickup truck swerves and stops abruptly, causing a large squarish cardboard box to fall out of its loaded bed and land in the roadway next to it. But when K.I.T.T. follows the Monte Carlo through the intersection, the gray pickup's bed is empty of visible cargo, and there is no box sitting beside it.
